Description

Neuroscience is a course that emphasizes the structure and function of the nervous system under physiological and pathological conditions. The course examines a broad integrative framework that includes the cellular and molecular physiology of individual neurons as well as how molecules control the development of neuronal pathways and networks that underlie sensory, integrative, and motor systems. At the end of this course, the student will be able to explain the functional processes involved in normal and diseased states of the nervous system. Prerequisites: BIO 235 and CHM 111.
