Description

This course explores digital illustration, with focus on the fundamentals of designing with imagery, the relationship between verbal and visual communication, and proficiency in illustration fundamentals and vocabulary. Students will be able to apply digital illustration tools to create original imagery in a vector format, solve visual design problems that depict activity, depth, and visual narrative, and debate ethical usage of copyright images. Course structure uses a project-based approach to develop creative and critical thinking in producing solutions for technical renderings, portraits, multiple-point perspective, page-layout, and typography.
