Description

This course develops fundamental skills and techniques for the design, development and drawing of characters for multiple digital graphic purposes. Course work covers character development, expression, drawing techniques, issues of anatomy and costume. Students will be able to develop personal expression of concept, thought process and interpretive skills, render character drawing techniques effectively, revise weaknesses in terms of conceptual development, design, or technique, and differentiate between influence and appropriation of illustrators and character designers. Students will further their fundamental drawing skills in a studio environment using traditional drawing media and computer graphic software. Prerequisite: ART 221
