Description

This course focuses on the professional skills development for the graphic industry and the capstone for the Digital Art and Design department. Students will design and produce a resume and portfolio in various forms including in print, in digital, and as a website. Students will be able to examine design terminology, methods, and technical issues in digital arts, validate their application of design principles, explore specific skills in software tools and hardware, evaluate competencies in using techniques for design applications, assess design skills in visual communication, articulate issues involved in communicating with design clients, and defend the issues of ethics in digital arts and use of imagery and intellectual property. Research and investigate design career roles in the 21st century and the ethical issues of the design industry. A group Senior thesis show is also required. Prerequisite: Senior standing or permission of the instructor
