Description
This course examines the science of social psychology, which is the study of social facilitation due to the presence of others and our responses. Topics covered in the course include but are not limited to: social thinking; social influence; social relations; and applying social psychology within the field of the behavioral sciences and our sustainable future. Throughout the course, human kinship is an emphasis, as humans can relate to one another in similarities and differences of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, culture, income, religion, and abilities. Upon successful completion of the course, students will engage in an exercise, project, and presentation to examine their own social thinking, social influence, and/or social relations. Prerequisite: PSY 110, Introduction to Psychology with a grade of āCā or better.
