Description

This course is designed to prepare students for jet aircraft flight experiences. The course covers advanced jet aircraft systems, inclusive of simulation experiences with high altitude weather, collision avoidance, and emergency situations, with high altitude performance considerations embedded throughout the course. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills for in-flight system level emergencies, reinforce team building concepts and processes, build foundational knowledge for the practical portion of the FAA ATP evaluations, and consider ethical and professional attributes required of a professional pilot. Prerequisite: AVI 232. Corequisite: FLI 211. Students are required to complete a minimum number of training sessions in a training device as prescribed in the course syllabus. Lab fee is $885.
