Description

This course prepares advanced aviation students for the instructional knowledge and teaching competencies required of a certified flight instructor. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals of learning theory, human behavior, and effective teaching methods, including lesson organization, lesson-plan development, instructional delivery techniques, and the use of instructional aids. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to apply instructional principles to develop and present effective aviation lessons and will possess the knowledge necessary to prepare for and successfully complete the FAA Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI) knowledge (written) examination. Prerequisite: AVI 232 and FLI 334.
