Description

This course prepares advanced flight students for multi-crew, high-performance flight operations in corporate and regional airline environments. Instruction emphasizes crew resource management (CRM) principles and the application of advanced operational procedures, including flight operations above 25,000 feet, advanced navigation techniques, complex aircraft systems, and advanced weather detection and avoidance technologies. Through classroom instruction and required training sessions in a CRJ Flight Training Device (FTD), students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage crew coordination, automation, and system operations in a professional flight environment. Prerequisite: AVI 332 and FLI 211. Co-requisite: AVI 434 or instructor consent. Students are required to complete a minimum number of CRJ FTD training sessions as prescribed in the course syllabus. Lab fee: $885.
