Description

This course provides a broad understanding of basic finance principles with a working knowledge of concepts, tools, and applications appropriate for financial decision-making. An emphasis on the analysis of the sources and use of funds, fundamental valuation concepts, short and long term financing and working capital management and the application thereof. Upon completion, students will be able to utilize financial tools including financial analysis, working capital management, capital budgeting, net present value mechanisms, stock and bond pricing models, and risk analysis to aid in financial decision-making. Prerequisites: MATH 112 or higher; ECON 101, 102, and BAC 241. It is strongly recommended that students have completed CIS 162, 164 or 166.
