Description

This course covers the core concepts of organic chemistry, and is the first semester of a two semester sequence. The lecture covers the chemical and physical properties of hydrocarbons. The laboratory covers common organic lab techniques and methods of analysis. Upon completion of this course students will be able to analyze and characterize hydrocarbon compounds. Prerequisite: CHM 112 with a grade of C or better.
