Description
This course examines the field of public relations from its historical beginnings to its present expression as a form of directed communication between an organization and its publics. Students will identify the discipline’s guiding principles (e.g. ethics codes, communication law, and formulae), in order to produce a document including research, planning, communication, and evaluation. Upon successful completion of this course, students will plan and deliver an actual public relations campaign for an on-campus client. Prerequisites: COM101 and COM155
