Description

Modern Grammar is an examination of the English language, including its history, structure, and usage. This course is designed to allow students to gain an awareness of English grammar, the ability to identify sentence structures, and further appreciate the diversity of forms and uses of the language. Through a contemporary descriptive approach to grammar, students will be able to conceptualize structures, explain the development of the language, and analyze the connections between language and culture. Prereq: ENG 101
