Description

This course introduces the fundamentals of instrument flying, providing initial exposure to all core elements of instrument operations. Instruction covers basic attitude instrument flying, instrument navigation, holding patterns, instrument approaches, departure and arrival procedures, and essential IFR regulations, along with interpretation of instrument charts and clearances. Upon successful completion, students will demonstrate the ability to control the aircraft solely by reference to instruments, execute standard instrument procedures, and apply foundational skills necessary for progression toward full instrument rating requirements. Prerequisite: FLI 112
