Description

This course prepares students to be effective choral teachers for grades 5-12. Topics will include the principles, techniques, literature, tools, methods and materials used in teaching choral music. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to select appropriate literature, prepare and execute effective lessons and performances, and accurately assess the progress of choral music students. Pre-requisites: MUSC 302 Basic Conducting, EDU 351 Secondary School Methods, and concurrent enrollment in a university choir; or permission of the department head.
