Description

This practicum course develops novice nursing competencies of clinical judgment, communication, person-centered care, evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration, safety, quality improvement, and informatics necessary to provide basic implementation of quality health care to adult patients with various medical-surgical conditions. The student will focus on the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse within the interprofessional team, including utilization of the nursing process. Clinical experiences will be provided in acute and simulated medical surgical settings. Pre-requisites: NRS 303, NRS 305/305P, NRS 310, NRS 311. Co-requisite: NRS 307
