Description

This practicum course develops professional nursing competencies of clinical judgement, communication, person-centered care, evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement, and informatics necessary to provide quality health care to childbearing, child-rearing, and pediatric populations. The student will focus on the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse within the interprofessional team, including utilization of the nursing process. Clinical experiences occur in acute, outpatient, community-based, and simulated settings and focus on individuals, families, and groups within childbearing, child-rearing and pediatric populations. Prerequisites: NRS 303, NRS 305/305P, NRS 310, NRS 311. Co-requisite: NRS 308
