Description

This practicum course develops professional nursing competencies of clinical judgment, communication, person-centered care, evidence-based practice, teamwork & collaboration, safety, quality improvement, and informatics necessary to provide quality health care to patients with brain health conditions. The student will focus on the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse, including the utilization of the nursing process. Clinical experiences focus on individuals and groups experiencing a variety of brain health issues in acute, outpatient, community-based, and simulated settings. Prerequisites: NRS 303, NRS 305/305-P, NRS 306, NRS 307/307L/307P, NRS 308/308P, NRS 310, NRS 311. Co-requisite: NRS 309
