Description

This course develops professional nursing competencies of clinical judgment, communication, person-centered care, evidence-based practice, teamwork & collaboration, safety, quality improvement, and informatics necessary to provide quality health care to patients with complex and chronic health conditions. The student will focus on the roles and responsibilities of a professional nurse, including utilization of the nursing process. Clinical experiences are in community/public health settings. Prerequisites: NRS 303, NRS 305/305P, NRS 306, NRS 307/307L/307P, NRS 308/308P, NRS 310, NRS 311. Co-requisite: NRS 403
