Description

In this course, students will examine U.S. and global healthcare delivery systems, the legislative process, and the history of healthcare reform in relation to healthcare quality and patient outcomes. Major issues and trends in contemporary nursing will be explored, with a focus on the role of nurses as leaders within the interprofessional healthcare team. Students will leave informed about and committed to the role of nurse advocate to promote ethical practice and quality patient outcomes. Prerequisites: NRS 303, NRS 305/305P, NRS 307, NRS 307P, NRS 308/308P, NRS 309/309P, NRS 310, NRS 311, NRS 403/403P, NRS 415/415P. Co-requisites: None
