Description
As a continuation of NRS 307, this course develops professional nursing competencies of clinical judgement, communication, person-centered care, evidence-based practice, teamwork & collaboration, safety, quality improvement, and informatics necessary to provide quality health care to patients with complex and chronic health conditions. Theory and clinical experience (NRS 415P) are correlated to allow the student to develop skills in the utilization of the nursing process, and employ knowledge emphasizing care coordination and patient self-management. Students will engage in professional discussion of psycho-social and physiological concepts pertaining to patients with complex and chronic health conditions. Prerequisites: NRS 303, NRS 305/305P, NRS 306, NRS 307/307L/307P, NRS 308/308P, NRS 310, NRS 311. Co-requisite: NRS 415P
