Description
This capstone course provides students the opportunity to synthesize professional nursing competencies of clinical judgment, communication, person-centered care, evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement, and informatics necessary to provide quality health care. Building on professional nursing competencies learned in previous nursing courses, the student will focus on the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse, including utilization of the nursing process. Clinical experiences are precepted by practicing professional nurses and occur in simulated and various medical-surgical, and specialty inpatient settings. This course will assure that the student has met all nursing program student learning outcomes (SLOs) and is prepared to sit for the national nursing licensure examination. Prerequisites: NRS 303, NRS 305, NRS 307, NRS 309, NRS, 312, NRS 313, NRS 413, NRS 415. Co-requisites: None
