Description
Physiology I is an integrated primary core course, foundational to physician assistant instruction. It involves an intensive study of physiology relevant to the clinical presentation, pathophysiology, and recognition of various diseases and anomalies in the population. The course assumes and incorporates prior and current learning in the basic sciences, anatomy, ancillary diagnostics and medical terminology. At the end of this course, the student will be able to correctly explain and predict functional processes involved in health and disease, and the adaptation of body systems to treatment.
