Description
Behavioral Health for PA students is a foundational course prior to a clinical rotation in psychiatry and involves study of normal and abnormal behavior and of strategies to prevent, treat, and rehabilitate patients with mental disorders. Students will develop the necessary skills to evaluate and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions commonly seen in primary care settings. Prerequisites: 2nd semester PA courses.
