Love is a common human experience, but we don’t often take the time to ask what love means. Philosophers have been examining love for centuries and have diverse and fascinating views to share with us. We will consider many types of love, from family to friends to lovers. By the end of this course, students will be able to explain multiple views on the nature of love, discuss competing philosophical perspectives, and analyze their own experiences of
love in light of these views.
