Description

This course applies the current standards for the American Psychological Association’s style for undergraduate writing. Topics covered in this course include but are not limited to: general guidelines for student papers; writing styles and grammar; bias-free language guidelines; punctuation, lists, and italics; spelling, capitalization, and abbreviation; referencing numbers and statistics; tables and figures; works credited in the text; and reference list. Upon successful completion of the course, students will apply APA style to multiple course activities and assignments, in an effort to prepare for future scholarly work within the discipline of Psychology. Prerequisite: PSY 110, Introduction to Psychology with a grade of ‘C’ or better.
