Description

Personnel psychology is focused on issues related to the selection and evaluation of employees, as it relies heavily on quantitative methodology to evaluate the reliability and validity of pre-applicant hiring and testing related to human performance. This course will review the foundation for personnel psychology theory and research. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to distinguish how jobs differ in the content; assess how people differ in their knowledge, skills, and abilities for the work setting; and interpret how employers can capitalize on these variations in an effort to enhance the performance and work experiences of and organizations. Prerequisite: PSY 602, Industrial & Organizational Psychology (or) equivalency with a letter grade of ā€˜C’ or better.
