Description

This course examines why and how social problems develop at national and global levels. The exploration of such social issues as poverty, environmental problems, housing, prejudice and crime will provide students a frame of reference for analyzing problems and alternative solutions. At the completion of this course, students will be able to articulate a sociological understanding of various social problems and identify avenues toward social change at both the individual and systemic levels. No prerequisites.
